Previously a Director of Shine, I now work with the Company as an Associate, having decided to work part-time after the birth of my daughter.

I manage the public sector contracts that Shine delivers as well as the day to day running of the company.

I have worked with the public sector for many years; working in the sector, providing consultancy services and delivering grant funded projects. This experience gives me a good understanding of the needs of the public sector workers for those mentoring programmes that we set up in this area as well as a detailed understanding of how to design and deliver publicly funded programmes.

My public sector background is mainly in economic development, particularly inward investment and tourism. Although I have been working in private sector for the past ten year, predominately in market research and economic development consultancy.

Prior to joining Shine, I ran my own consultancy, Shoregate, for 5 years. It was during this time that I met Alessandra, whilst we were both advising the London Development Agency. In partnership with Shine, I designed and implemented a mentoring and management training programme for junior managers in the tourism industry in London, funded by the London Development Agency. It was working in partnership to deliver this highly successful programme that we decided a more permanent venture would be beneficial. That's how I joined Shine.

I started out with a degree in Quantity Surveying, but graduating in the middle of a recession I soon moved out of the profession in to different areas. I count myself lucky as I quickly discovered I prefer to deal with people rather than with bricks

Client Testimonials

The workshop brought clarity and provided clear directions about how one should implement a mentoring programme. It was fully engaging and thought provoking.
