Diversity

Speak to any HR professional, any managing partner, any CEO about the issues they face recruiting and holding on to good people and they will all mention the need for diversity. They want to see the talent pool match what the world looks like. They want more people to apply from ethnic minorities. They want more bright graduates from different backgrounds. And they want to promote and support women.

Women make up over 50% of the young graduate workforce in the western world. But by the time they reach 30 the percentage drops considerably. Why don't they stay? Why don't they get (or go for) the senior roles?

It might be because we have a vested interest, but at Shine we are rather passionate about supporting women in the workplace. We made our name designing mentoring programmes aimed at developing talented women and still believe that far too many companies overlook their female talent pool.
