What we do

Talent Management

Every business needs to realise the potential of its people.

You need to recognise talent and attract talented people. And you need to invest in these people once they are on board. If they think you value them and that you're interested in seeing them flourish, they will stay. Losing good people simply costs too much, as much as 200% of their salary, according to published research!

As far as we are concerned this is what talent management is all about.

Many consultants focus on top executives. Some help you with recruitment. If you ask us we will help you there too, but honestly, we are far more interested in the huge middle layer than we are in those at the top of the tree.

By the middle layer we mean the people who make up the bulk of your business, and without whom it would fall apart. The ones who give you a few years and then they're off. For one reason or another they do not stay the course or, more probably, someone on the outside spots their true potential and they go. After all, why should they stay?

This is where we think we can help.

We will help you to build a strong, formal, mentoring and coaching culture in your business.

Our work covers one-to-one coaching and mentoring, group mentoring, reverse mentoring, career development, business support and management training. In everything we do we use mentoring and coaching techniques.

To us, in-house structured mentoring is simply the best way to nurture latent talent and to build employee loyalty. And it is certainly the most cost-effective way to ensure that you both, spot and retain 'the bright stars'.

“The programme devised by Shine has been a great success.. The format of external mentoring combined with masterclasses is a winning formula and fits around employers needs. I would recommend it to any organisation, large or small.”
